According to ecommercenews.eu, growth in the sector has hit 45% this year, with total online sales across Polish borders totalling a huge $7 billion. And this could be set to rise even further in the coming years if international online retailers start catering further to their cross-border customers, with Polish consumers claiming they would be keen to spend more if the return service was free.
It appears that confidence in online purchasing is rising in Poland at a higher rate than several other markets in Europe, with the likes of Romania, Greece and Hungary recording smaller growth in the area.
However, as a whole, the global cross-border ecommerce industry is rising, and is currently worth $105 billion. This could increase even further, with the latest predictions estimating it will hit $307 billion by 2018.
